This home made traditional Garlic Pickle (Poondu Oorugai) is from a small village Ichipatti, TamilNadu (India) Specialty: This pickle is made in traditional way using Sesame oil (Nallennai) as the preserving agent. This is how the pickles were made in olden days without any artificial additions. The aroma and taste of the picke will prove that the ingredients were all traditional without a single drop of artificial preservatives. Garlics were hand grinded and undergoes a tedious making process for more than three hours. The pickle will be boiled completely with right set of productions so that the pickle will last long for more than 3 months. The making is very tedious and the person has to sit in front of the fire for more than 3 hours. This tedious making process and natural ingredients make the pickle more delicious.
